FOOTSTEPS OF TRUTH

Three footsteps in Science and Health with key to the scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy pg 242:1 are repentance, spiritual baptism, and regeneration. The following is my sense of these footsteps with quotes from the same page and paragraph:

1. Repentance: discard all evil in thought, word, or deed and awaken out of the idolatrous material sense, which is the source of every evil belief (material knowledge, body, money, position, power, or anything derived from the human experience.) “Denial of the claims of matter is a great step towards the joys of Spirit…”

2. Spiritual baptism: Purification of thought that leads to the spiritual attainment of conscious harmony, immortality, health, and love, the reign of heaven within us. “… a great step … towards human freedom...”

3. Regeneration: is having no other God’s before the infinite One. It is “…the final triumph over the body.”

FOLLOW ME!

For all those who think as Adams will die as mortals, even so those who adopt the Christ consciousness shall be made alive.

The way out of sin is to never personalize it for yourself or others. Jesus showed us the unreality of the sinful thought of the carnal mind. He called sin a lie and the father (originator) of itself, therefore the human mind is not its originator. In fact its beginning is a lie.

Never condemn yourself, rather love yourself. By loving yourself, I mean that you should love everything that God knows is true about you. You can never love yourself enough in this way. While keeping thought aligned with Truth, you are standing fast in the liberty and following Christ. You will never be entangled in the yoke of the carnal mind again.

LOVE'S DIVINE PLAN

Who shall ascend into the atmosphere of Love? We all shall stand in Her holy place. It is inevitable that either through Science or tribulation we are drawn to a holy purpose.

Love's purity of purpose always has its own image in view. Love's perfect ideal includes all ideas and the divine plan. You are included in Love's divine purpose.

So lets walk in the light of divine Love. Let Love guide us toward its own perfection by redeeming us from false thoughts and bringing us fulfillment in the divine plan. "Christian Science demonstrates that none but the pure in heart can see God (Love), as the gospel teaches." (Science & Health with key to the scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy pg 337:14 to.)

WALK UPRIGHTLY

My sense of walking uprightly is to have thoughts continuously turned upward to God. Ask yourself, am I listening to divine Mind -- continually? In reality, Principle is guiding us, Love is telling us over and over again how we are safe and that we are cherished. Truth is calling out that we should never fear, because we are delivered from the carnal thought that is testifying opposites.

Can you imagine the glories of infinite, limitless Life and Love as or in a physique? The terms infinite and limitless as attributes of God exclude this from thought. Man is infinity's reflection, so man is as infinite and limitless as the Mind he/she reflects. Man is inseparable from infinite progression "the infinite idea forever developing itself, broadening and rising higher and higher from a boundless basis." (Science & Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy 258:13)

Feel the infinite presence of Divine Mind as your own presence. You are authority and grace as you feel this presence and accept it as your only consciousness. Then you are loosening thought from matter and you become the infinite idea expressed everywhere.

Knowledge of God

How do you know God? First by destroying a sense of sin and self. When we unite with divine Mind, the eternal source of all happiness, which we have never been separated from in reality, grace and peace are multiplied, because we discern God and accept the divine power of Love.
Love is here, being, self-existent. Love as Principle is universal, never personal, because Love is everywhere, a person cannot be.

It is in this sense of God and Her idea man as impersonal we understand "God is the Principle of man, and man is the idea of God. Hence man is not mortal nor material." (S&H 476:9-11) By understanding God, we understand man -- neither are mortal nor fallen.

LET THERE BE LIGHT

Can you know God with the physical senses? The light referred to in Genesis 1 is the light of Mind. With this divine light of of Soul sense you begin to discern the difference between the darkness of the physical senses and the light of the Christ consciousness. Then you behold everything that God made to be very good.

Watch out for the mistiness of mortal mind. This mistiness is the general belief that your joy and happiness come through matter. This is the garden of Eden, the false sense of pleasure and delight of the mortal, material body. But, God never put you in this garden. (See S&H 526:29 marginal heading "Garden of Eden")

As we gaze into majesty, and glory of infinite Love we see through the mortality of the second record of creation.
